Ndola Central Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Mulenga has assured the people of Twapia that he will make sure that roads in the area are rehabilitated to enhance mobility of goods and services.
Mr. Mulenga said this today when he inspected the resumption of road rehabilitation works which were suspended because of the rains.
He said a total of 30 kilometres of roads will be rehabilitated.
ZANIS reports that Mr. Mulenga said he is working with the local authority to see to it that roads are worked on to allow people move from various points without any hardships.
He said Constituency Development Funds -CDF will be used to undertake the exercise, adding that he has also engaged the Ndola City Council to reconsider working on a number of roads in his constituency.
Mr. Mulenga emphasized that the road works have not been kick-started because it’s an election year, but that he has been working on various road projects across the constituency.
And residents have expressed gratitude that the road works in the area have resumed.
Shoneya Chimfwembe , trader at Twapia market said the road works once complete will enable many traders to transport their goods easily.
