Party of National Unity and Progress -PNUP- President HIGHVIE HAMUDUDU has called on all political parties to take a centre role in addressing political violence.
Speaking when he addressed journalists in Kasama today, Mr. HAMUDUDU explained that having a good political environment requires concerted effort.
He added that finger pointing of who causes political violence will not address the political violence in the country.
Mr. HAMUDUDU noted that having a country characterised with violence is detrimental to national development.
He has since called on Zambians, especially youths, not to engage in violence as the country heads to the polls.
Mr. HAMUDUDU said once his party is elected to office, he will ensure that he creates an environment for issue-based politics.
And Mr. HAMUDUDU said Zambia’s agriculture sector requires investment in value addition which he noted is an important area of economic growth.
He has since reaffirmed the party’s dedication to alleviating poverty levels in the country.
