Chief Katyetye of the Tambo people of Isoka district has urged Zambians not to allow anyone to sow seeds of division among them.
Chief Katyetye says citizens must reject politics of division and violence and should not take for granted the peace the country has continued to enjoy since independence.
He says Zambians have for a long time lived as one people.

The traditional leader has also called for violence-free campaigns by political parties in the run-up to the August 12 general election.
Speaking to ZNBC News at his palace in Isoka district, Chief Katyetye further urged political parties to discipline cadres involved in violence.
He said he will not tolerate politics of intolerance in his chiefdom as political campaigns begin to gather momentum.
