Christian Coalition Zambia has resolved to endorse and campaign for President Edgar Lungu through a campaign theme, ‘Gods church must rise for ECL for continuity, prosperous and stable leadership.’
Christian Coalition Zambia President Charles Mwape has since called on the church to rise and support President Lungu ahead of the elections.
Professor Mwape says the support towards President Lungu will see the continuation of the country’s stance as a Christian nation and also the National Day of Prayer and Fasting which gives Zambians an opportunity to reflect and reconcile.
The Christian Coalition President explained that it is clear that President Lungu and the PF remain the party of choice, further saying there is no sign of any wind of change purported by some politicians.
Professor Mwape, who was speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka, said voting for President Lungu is not only for public interest but national interest because he has shown his capabilities to govern the country.
