The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- has called on football clubs to encourage  players to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala says ensuring that players are vaccinated will greatly help in the fight against the pandemic among football players.

Kashala added that clubs should take advantage of the ongoing mass vaccination against COVID-19.

He observed that once players are vaccinated, it will in the long run reduce on the cost that FAZ and clubs are incurring to conduct tests.

Meanwhile, FAZ will tomorrow launch its COVID-19 protocols document.

Kashala says the document will provide guidance on how football clubs and fans will conduct themselves during football matches in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He says the COVID-19 protocols document was developed with the help of the Zambia Medical Association.
