BIG SPENDERS IN PF ARE AFTER THE PRESIDENCYThe Candidates’s CommentNever in the history of this country have we witnessed such an expensive campaign for adoption by elements aspiring for elective offices like we have seen happening today.When you see the amount of money Patriotic Front (PF) aspirants have, which they are using to ferry people to their gatherings and buy support from party officials as well as pay those attending their rallies, you wonder where the money comes from and what the ultimate hidden agenda is by these big spenders. Those currently serving as MPs and some even serving as ministers have been out-rightly overshadowed by aspirants in as far as spending is concerned. When you look closely at these elements aspiring in PF, you will realize that most of them have nothing to tell the people they want votes from. These are elements who lack conscious and wisdom and do not understand the challenges which the people they intend to serve, endure.
They ferry supporters using hired or owned vehicles from all areas in their constituencies and pay them at the end, to fool those responsible of adoptions. But logically, anyone who can appear with a trunk of money anywhere in this country and declares interest to stand for whatever elective position will attract multitudes. Obviously, people are hungry. People are broke and people want monies. Who can refuse to attend a rally where they know that after it ends, they will get something to buy food? Look at how much Danny Yenga is spending Kabwata. Look at the extravagance of Danny’s so-called mobilization activities. Who wouldn’t want to be found where Danny’s rally is when they know that afterwards they will be getting paid? Clearly,
everyone – including people that don’t know his names but only recognize his face – want to attend Danny’s rally because they will get something at the end of it.Look at Andrew Lubusha’s expenditure in Chipangali in his bid to get adopted! Intelligence reports have shown that Andrew has splashed more than K15 million in a space of 8 months in that constituency, to rent crowds for his rallies, pay them and oil his adoption at the PF Secretariat and the Central Committee. Who wouldn’t want to be found where Andrew’s rally is when they know that afterwards they will be getting paid? Clearly, everyone – including people that don’t know his names but only recognize his face – want to attend Andrew’s rally because they will get something at the end of it.However,
when you count the money that is being dished out by these elements to people, cadres and senior members in PF to buy their adoptions, it is clearly more than what they will get from Parliament as remuneration and gratuity combined.What hidden agenda is behind the huge monies that these elements are spending to rent crowds, paint impressions and manipulate their parties to have them adopted?We know is that there is a cartel in PF controlled by someone at the helm of the party who is propping up these big spenders and is assuring them of their adoptions come what may, all for the 2026 agenda.
These characters initially wanted to betray President Edgar Lungu using mercenaries to re-petition the courts over the eligibility issue so that the court over turns on its earlier verdict. Having failed to do that, they have set their eyes on the Vice Presidency and they are now positioning themselves to pick who takes over from Edgar Lungu in 2026. They have decided that they will get rid of many incumbents as much as possible to have aspirants in Parliament and government position in order for their smooth run to the 2026 intra-party Presidents.We cannot help but associate these big spenders to this secrete hegemony agenda over the Presidency of the PF and Zambia at large. Why would someone spend K15 million in trying to get adopted for a job where at the end of a term, they walk away with K5 million only?
