Green Party President Peter Sinkamba has called for peaceful campaigns ahead of the august 12 polls to protect the country’s economic gains made so far.
Mr. Sinkamba was speaking during a joint political meeting with PF National Mobilization Committee member Joseph Malanji at Changanamai grounds.
And Mr. Malanji pleaded with the people of Kwacha constituency to give President Lungu and the PF another mandate.
Meanwhile PF Mayoral candidate Mpasa Mwaya and Kamfinsa Parliamentary Candidate Christopher Kang’ombe said the PF is the answer to Zambia’s economic woos.
And, United Party for National Development -UPND -Kitwe Mayoral candidate Grace Malunga called for issue based campaigns.
Ms Malunga in a telephone interview with ZNBC News in Kitwe challenged all the candidates to sell themselves adequately to the electorates.
During the same meeting, some Opposition members from the UPND, MMD and FDD who had gone to attend the meeting defected to the ruling Patriotic front.
