Wilson Mulinda-Inspector General of Police KAKOMA KANGANJA has advised Zambians not to fear officers but work with them to maintain law and order as the General election draws closer.
Mr. KANGANJA says the officers are mandated to protect innocent citizens from wrong doers hence the need for close collaboration.
He says only those that are in the habit of criminality will fear working with the police because of their bad habits.
Mr. KANGANJA was speaking when he addressed traders in Senanga District of Western Province, where he is conducting an assessment of the security situation in the Province.
And Mr. KANGANJA has also advised officers to be on high alert and bring to book those that engage in political violence.
He said the police are well equipped and should use minimum force on those that do not cooperate, unless the situation requires use of maximum force.
