Borussia Dortmund were without the services of Norwegian star Erling Haaland but managed to beat Augsburg 2-1 in a German Bundesliga match at home on Saturday.
Haaland did not play as the 21-year-old is still having muscular problems.
Borussia Dortmund took the 1-0 lead in minute 10 as Raphael Guerreiro scored from the penalty spot at Signal Iduna Park.
In the 35th minute, the visitors leveled when Andi Zeqiri, who was in the right place to finish, followed a rebound off Dortmund’s goalpost after an Arne Maier’s shot outside the penalty area.
Midfielder Julian Brandt scored the winning goal in the 51st minute as he fired a low shot to beat Augsburg goalie Rafal Gikiewicz.
Second-place Dortmund have 15 points in seven matches. They are hot on the leaders Bayern Munich’s trail, who racked up 16 points in six games.
Augsburg are now near the relegation zone with five points.
