Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO says the European Union -EU- Election Observer Mission Report is important as it helps to strengthen Zambia’s Democratic and electoral processes.

Mrs. NALUMANGO says the county looks forward to the presentation of the report by Chief Election Observer Mission to Zambia MARIA ARENA.

The Vice President says Zambia will learn from the recommendations made on how best to conduct elections.

Mrs. NALUMANGO was speaking when the EU delegation to Zambia and COMESA paid a courtesy call on her at her office in Lusaka today.

She also assured the Delegation that Zambia is committed to supporting SADC counties in maintaining peace and security in Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Eswatini.

Mrs. NALUMANGO said peace and security are a prerequisite of economic development and it is important that the SADC Region continues to remain peaceful.
And European External Action Service – EEAS Managing Director Africa RITA LARANJINHA said the EU will support Zambia’s identified priority areas.

Ms. LARANJINHA said the EU Election Observers Mission is a useful instrument that can be used to identify areas that are supposed to be improved.
