US diplomat hails 'frank, productive' review of bilateral ties in Russia visit

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland on Wednesday appreciated “the frank, productive review” of bilateral relations conducted with Kremlin officials in Moscow.

“Under Secretary Nuland: Very much appreciated the frank, productive review of U.S.-Russia relations with Deputy Head of Presidential Administration Ushakov at the Kremlin this morning,” Jason Rebholz, spokesperson for the US Embassy in Moscow, said on Twitter.

“We remain committed to a stable, predictable relationship,” he added.

Nuland arrived in Moscow on Monday and has met a number of senior Russian officials during the visit, including Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov and the Russian president’s international affairs aide Yury Ushakov, and Dmitry Kozak, deputy chief of staff of the Presidential Executive Office.
