Health Minister Sylvia Masebo says new and young health workers will play a critical role in combating the expected 4th wave of COVID-19.

The Minister said this when she graced a joint graduation ceremony of 4 nursing schools in Lusaka today.

Ms. Masebo stated that Government has made steady progress in providing a conducive working environment for health workers despite the economic challenges.

She noted that the increase in nurses and midwives is a plus for the country because it will result in quality health care provision.

Ms. Masebo urged the graduates to conduct themselves in a professional manner by putting patients first before themselves.
