The Lusaka National Museum has called on parents and school management to frequently allow pupils to visit museums to learn more about the Zambian culture.

Lusaka National Museum Education Officer YVONNE MULALA says it is difficult for young ones in society to learn Zambian culture with the current technologies that have overshadowed the Zambian traditions.

Ms. MULALA says frequent visits to museums will teach the little ones about respect and how they can conduct themselves in society, while preserving their morals.

She was speaking shortly after conducting a literacy program with learners of various schools in Lusaka today.

Ms. MULALA said it is important to incorporate Zambian culture with technology so that children have an idea of the countries cultural heritage.

Meanwhile, Museum Librarian ALFRED HAKOOLA said the museum targets to continue with the literacy programs which were emphasized by Former President EDGAR LUNGU.

Mr. HAKOOLA said there is a lot to be learnt from the museums because they have an open door policy to provide information to all.
