Chief Government Spokesperson CHUSHI KASANDA says no time frame will be attached in the appointment of new boards for ZNBC and IBA.

Ms. KASANDA who is also Information and Media Minister says the selection will be consultative and put in place all processes.

She however notes that the IBA is responsible for issuing licences and will look into the appointment of new boards as quickly as possible.

Ms. KASANDA adds that ZNBC over the years has not provided fresh content hence failure to generate income by the national Broadcaster.

She says the new board is expected to generate income by being proactive and creative.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka on the highlights of the 2022 national budget, the Chief government Spokesperson assured the public that the budget is all inclusive.

Ms. KASANDA said with the budget government has already embarked on lowering the fiscal deficit, restoring market confidence and bringing stability to the economy.

She said government will also accelerate the transformation of the economy by advancing value addition, industrialisation and integration into global markets.

Ms. KASANDA said Ministers will this afternoon in Parliament start presenting policy statements.

She has since encouraged Zambians to follow debates in Parliament in order to be fully acquainted with the 2022 national budget.
