President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is expected in Kazungula for a sub-regional forum on children and young people.

Presidential Spokesperson ANTHONY BWALYA says the President is expected to highlight usefulness of policies for a safe Zambia for children.

He says President HICHILEMA also notes that trade and investment is the lifeline of the economy.

Speaking during a press briefing at state house today, Mr. BWALYA said President HICHILEMA is also expected to hold bilateral talks with his counterpart from Botswana.

He said President HICHILEMA’s agenda remains on fixing and building the economy.

Meanwhile, Presidential COVID Advisor ROMA CHILENGI said the country is at 7 point 2 percent COVID vaccination, from the 3 point 2 percent as of 7th October when the vaccination exercise was re-launched.

Dr. CHILENGI said the country has to prepare for the fourth wave because it is no longer a matter of if, but when it comes.

He said more vaccines are expected to be sent to Zambia, following President HICHILEMA’s engagement with the World Health Organization Director General.
