A Lusaka resident has called on Secretary to the Cabinet to stop paying Former President EDGAR LUNGU and withdraw all Government incentives from him for continuing to be in active politics.

JOSEPH BUSENGA says it is illegal for the Former Head of State to continue holding on to his position as Patriotic Front President while enjoying Government incentives.

In an interview with ZNBC News, Mr. BUSENGA explains that failure to act on this illegality is contrary to the laws of Zambia, which states that the pension and other benefits will NOT be paid, assigned or provided to a former President who is engaged in active politics.

He said it is clear that Mr. LUNGU is still in active politics because he still holds an elective position in his political party.

Mr BUSENGA said that if this is not done , he will seek legal redress.
