Representative John Kirby let columnists know that when he spoke Tuesday he was sure, hopefully not by mistake, that a proposal from an anonymous country to furnish Ukraine with fixed-wing airplane had been satisfied.
“I was in mistake in saying that, in the past tense, they had been given entire airplane. I lament the mistake,” he said.
