The Zambia Public Obtainment Authority – ZPPA-has suspended a privately owned business, Marshall’s Gadgets Restricted, from offering for government contracts for inability to release legally binding commitments.
Marshall’s Gadgets Restricted, which was shrunk by the Service of Data and Media and the Zambia News and Data and Administrations – ZANIS-to supply hardware, neglected to supply on time regardless of being settled completely.
ZPPA Chief General, IDAH CHELLA says Marshall’s Gadgets Restricted has been suspended for one year for failing to meet expectations in spite of having been settled up on 339 thousand Kwacha completely toward the start of the agreement.
Ms. CHELLA says the firm just provided ZANIS and the Service of Data and Media electronic materials worth 159 thousand Kwacha which is half of the agreement total.
She has cautioned providers, who partake in open obtainment, to satisfy authoritative commitments to keep away from loss of business or being suspended from public acquisition.
Ms CHELLA expressed this in Lusaka during the Second Quarter Media Preparation where she reported that in the period under audit, Six examinations were completed.
She reported that among them was the examination concerning the importation of wooden posts by ZESCO and non execution of legally binding commitments which was cleared.
