Western Province Minister ROBERT LIHEFU says the United Party for National Development -UPND- government has scored a number of successes in its first year of running the country.
Mr. LIHEFU says the UPND administration has made sure that the rule of law is upheld in the country by ending thuggish behaviour in public places like markets and bus stations.
He says the opening of the largest Nickel Mine by First Quantum Minerals is a sign that investors are happy with government’s policy direction.
And Solwezi West Member of Parliament NICHOLAS MUKUMBI says government has increased the Constituency Development Fund – CDF allocation from one point six million kwacha to twenty five million kwacha to take resources closer to the people to accelerate deve
opment.
Meanwhile, Chief MUMENA of Kalumbila District said the recruitment of over thirty thousand teachers and over eleven thousand teachers are some major achievements of the UPND in one year.
The traditional leader said the recruitment is meant to enhance service delivery of quality education and health care to Zambians.
