Zambia and China will next week host the first ever trade and investment forum.
The forum is aimed at attracting trade and investment in the two countries.
And government has commended the continued strong bilateral relations existing between the two countries which date back to the pre-independence era.
Acting Commerce Trade and Industry Minister ELIAS MUBANGA says Zambia considers China as a strategic trade investment partner.
Earlier, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia DU XIAOHUI disclosed that currently there are more than 600 Chinese companies operating in Zambia with an investment of over 3 billion United States dollars.
And Zambia Development Agency, Acting Director General JESSICA CHOMBA said the investment and trade forum will be used as a vehicle towards setting a tune for Zambia’s sustainable trade opportunities.
