The International Monetary Fund -IMF- has projected a decline in Trade in Sub- Saharan Africa by the end of this year.

The IMF says trade in the region is expected to grow by 3.6 percent, indicating a 1.1 percent decline from the 4.7 percent recorded between the same period last year.

The decline has been attributed to muted investments and overall worsening of its balance of trade in the region.

LEAH BABATUNDE of AUB Network reports that the IMF has also called for a redirection of subsidies in NIGERIA to target only those who need it.
