The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development will start validation of the mining license applications next week.
Mining Cadastre Department Director SAMUEL MAANGO says the validation process is meant to analyze the financial and technical capability of the applicants.
Mr. MAANGO told ZNBC News that the Ministry has received about 530 applications for mining licenses.
He said the application process is still ongoing.
