Information and Media Minister CHUSHI KASANDA has called on the police to investigate the theft of News editing equipment at Muvi Television.
Ms. KASANDA says police should bring the culprits to book saying the criminal act should not go unpunished.
She says government has learnt about the theft of equipment for gathering and editing news at the private station with regret.
Ms. KASANDA adds that the move has caused a disruption on the station’s programming and dissemination of news and information to the public.
She says government values the smooth flow of information to the public and any disruption is a concern.
The Chief Government Spokesperson has further encouraged media houses to work closely with the police in securing their facilities.
